I noticed with my healing that there is sort of a path I have to take. Most of what makes healing hard is that I keep accidentally wandering off into the woods and then have to find the path again. Eventually though, I get better at walking the path.
But once I got good at staying on the path I realized that it wasn't a path I was consciously choosing so much as one that was laid out before me. I wanted to be on the path... but I realized that the only thing that makes me me is my wandering.
So I had a choice to make. Do I walk this path of healing and relinquish myself in the process? Or do I veer off and live a miserable existence... but at least get to feel like I am me?
